Here at A+ Home Improvements, we keep zipping along with our client’s projects. The last few weeks we showed off a number of exterior projects as the fall season comes to a close. This week, we wanted to showcase a shower system that gives you the look of tile without the maintenance of grout. Our client desired to change over from a tub enclosure to an easy to clean and maintain walk in shower. After going over a few options with them, they opted to install a Nextile shower enclosure. While a large number of options exist on the market, this system provides the timeless look of subway tile in a sterile, clean white look. Take a look at what we started with:
Pretty standard looking tub enclosure, right? The rest of the bathroom suited our clients needs, but the tub enclosure needed to be updated. While real tile provides a beautiful look, the Nextile unit offers a similar look with no maintenance. A cool option that this surround offers is the niche. You can simply leave the pre-stamped pattern at the rear of the niche, or you can choose to install an actual mosaic tile to provide a splash of color. Take a look at the results:
The new shower unit definitely brightened up the space. The homeowner was on the fence regarding a shower door, so we recommended a shower curtain to start. If they decide down the line that they would rather have a door, one can simply be added. This renovation proves that nice updates do not have to break the bank.
