Welcome back to another A+ Home Improvement’s project! This week, our newest client wanted to see an old bathroom transformed. To kick things off, let’s show you this pre 1950’s bathroom to give you an idea why the client wanted to see their bathroom renovated:
This bathroom screams dated! It amazes us that these style of bathrooms typically remain in fantastic shape for their age. Many of these spaces still have tile in great condition, which is a testament to the original installers. The cosmetic appearance, however, leaves much to be desired. Our client not only wanted to update the overall appearance of their bathroom, but they also wanted to create a more user-friendly space. To accommodate accessibility concerns, we replaced the tub with a walk in shower. Our client was open to suggestions, so we added a bench in their tiled shower that provided the perfect showering experience. We also ripped out the old tile flooring along with the rest of the fixtures. To help pull different aspects of the bathroom together, we installed a tile backsplash at the vanity that matched the accent tile at the rear of the niches.
