Sometimes your space requires attention to function properly, while other times you simply want to the area to reflect your personal taste and style. However, there are times when you justifiably need to renovate a room to improve your quality of life. This was the case with our latest project. Due to circumstances in our client’s life, accommodations needed to be made to make things simpler to navigate. A bathroom is an intimate place where bathing and personal hygiene occurs. Mobility issues can often be solved with a walk in or barrier free shower enclosure. However, a walk in tub often offers the perfect solution for what ails you. Our client desired to install a walk in tub where a shower currently existed. Let’s take a look:
We wanted to design the layout in a fashion that limited how much framing we had to move. Additionally, the client requested to keep the window, so keeping the seat away from that was important. After laying everything out and getting the materials, we went to work. We saved the existing tile flooring, and utilized a wall of the old shower enclosure for open shelving. Take a look:
