A simple bathroom update can make a huge difference. As you can see from the photos above, the layout for this bathroom stayed the same, but the change was drastic! Out with the old one piece tub and drab flooring/fixtures. Look at the surround – has the appearance of a clean tiled surface, right?
Our client, like many others, didn’t like the idea of having to seal tile and clean grout lines. The product we used was Onyx, which is a solid surface surround. Many glue up surrounds are cheap, acrylic, flimsy surrounds that serve the purpose, but don’t add much in terms of style. Onyx, and products like it, allows our clients to get the upgraded look without the hassle of dealing with tile maintenance. Although we use grout infused with sealer, we still recommend sealing your surround annually to keep it looking pristine. It is similar to waxing your car – keeps the shine nice and clean! To accent the surround, we were able to inlay an actual ribbon of mosaic tile into the surround to pull together the other colors of the room. The vinyl plank flooring provides a clean and water proof look as well.
This bathroom update was completed within a week, but will provide our client with an enjoyable space for years to come!
