A+ Home Improvements keeps rolling along! Over the last few weeks we’ve shown a number of exterior projects. This week, we wanted to show you a fantastic kitchen update. Our next client’s kitchen provided a decent layout for their everyday life, but the space was full of wasted areas. For instance, there was a redundant doorway leading from the kitchen to the dining room. There was another door literally two feet away, so we got rid of this doorway to provide more cabinet space on the fridge wall. Also, the eat-in dining area was cramped due to the row of cabinets sitting behind it. Instead of an “island table”, our client desired a stationary, functional island. We helped draw up the plans and pick out the perfect products to pull it off. Look at what we started with:

While the project entailed updating the layout and fixtures, another main point of the renovation consisted of new flooring. We removed the hardwood flooring in the kitchen and the tiled flooring in the attached sunroom. In its place, we installed an awesome alternating black and white floor tile that provided a whole new look. Look at the new fridge area in the pictures below- definitely a better use of the space! To pull it all together, we installed new quartz countertops and a fabulous back splash. Take a look:
