Adding onto a deck allows our clients to conserve cost by using the existing structure. Sometimes a large change isn’t necessary to achieve your desired results. This client simply wanted a bench seating area to enjoy on a nice spring day. The lid of the structure was starting to show its age, and the handrails were starting to crack. We stripped the old deck boards and handrails off and got to work.
By moving the location of the steps, we were able to create the needed space for the bench. The addition to the existing structure was only around 15 sq ft, but as you can see it made a huge difference. Once the new handrails and balusters were installed, it looked like a whole new deck! We recommend waiting a few months before applying any kind of finish, which allows the wood enough time to dry out. Let A+ modify your space to your liking!
