Welcome back to another A+ Home Improvements’ project!! Our year has been full of fantastic clients and projects, and the next one is no different. We replaced a patio door with a window in the past for this homeowner, but this time around they desired a much larger project. They tasked us with a full first floor transformation!! The homeowner viewed this home as their forever home, and it was time to make it work for them. All of the flooring on the first floor – tile and laminate – needed to be replaced. The kitchen provided a cut up, cramped feel that desperately needed to be updated. The lighting left a lot to be desired as well. We worked hand in hand with our client through the product selection process, and geared up to deliver the renovation of their dreams. Let’s take a look at what we started with:
Look how dark and dated the space looks! The home offered a beautiful view of the lake behind it, but the peninsula and wall between the kitchen and living room obscured the view. We removed the wall and installed a new header to open up the space. We also ripped out the soffits and converted the kitchen area into a galley style kitchen that better suited our client’s lifestyle. The homeowner enjoyed their wine collection, so we installed a built in wine cooler along with a wine rack to display their goods. To create a continuous flow, we installed matching laminate flooring throughout the entire first floor of the home. The new lighting provided a much brighter feel to the whole space. During the course of the renovation, we also provided a quick facelift for the half bath. Take a look at the results:
SUCCESS!
What a difference! Many different items jump out at you when you look a the first floor transformation. The client opted for a backsplash made from the same quartz material for the countertop, and it provided the icing on the cake! Our client loved the results, and looked forward to utilizing the renovated kitchen. What projects to do you have coming up? Give A+ Home Improvements a call to get your project started today.
