Spring is finally here!! While we didn’t have a terribly cold and blustery winter, it sure feels like it keeps dragging on. With that said, our community here in Toledo is home to a resilient group of people! Our local homeowners have inundated us with calls to tackle their ever growing honey-do lists. While we specialize in conquering large, custom projects, sometimes our clients just need a hand with the multitude of small projects that creep up around their home. With the abundance of high winds that we have been experiencing recently, siding repairs have been a mainstay. This pictures looks familiar, right? The dreaded sight of missing siding after a storm.
The picture above shows an issue that a client ran into recently. They purchased the house not long ago, and a large section of rotted wood and kickplate under the exterior door was missed during the home inspection. We took it apart, addressed the issue and got them back up in running in no time. We even sealed the metal wrap around the exterior door where it had been omitted by the original installer.
More Issues:
This last project entailed removing old, worn out and cracking sealant around the exterior of windows in the sunroom. Our client wanted to touch up the paint on the unit, but obviously didn’t want to paint over failing caulking. We dug the old stuff out and properly sealed up the exterior.
