Hey everybody! Our next kitchen renovation perfectly displays how a home owner adds their own personal flair to a project. As a die-hard New Orleans’ fan, they desired a Saint’s kitchen. What?! Yes, the color scheme revolved around the NFL teams colors, and the results proved to be fantastic! The original kitchen space consisted of original built in place cabinets that desperately needed to be updated. The home owner originally started with a completely different concept, but after meeting with our designer they completely changed their mind. We ripped out the old cabinets and flooring and geared up for the kitchen transformation. Take a look at what we started with:
Pretty common, older kitchen. The kitchen space did not allot much room for layout changes, but we did created a more usable spot for the fridge to provide better flow. To accommodate the new fridge location, we framed out the existing soffit. To provide symmetry, we mimicked the look on the other side over the new pantry. This layout change allowed us to give a much better floorplan for everyday kitchen use. Take a look:
See the theme? Even the quartz counter tops contained the main colors of Saint’s organization. To put the final bow on the project, we installed a backsplash containing the fleur-de-lis logo famously connected to the franchise. Our client’s reaction was priceless.
