Sometimes a complete kitchen transformation is not needed to achieve a clients goals. This client wanted to update their kitchen, but loved their existing cabinets. A new counter top and tile back splash would do the trick. Face lift time! By ripping out the old counter tops and dated splash (including a wall paper border in all of its glory:)), the renovation was under way.
A subway tile back splash stands the test of time. Our client chose to proceed with an earth tone solid surface top with an under mount sink. We removed and reinstalled the bread box to accomplish this, and the process proceeded smoothly. The counter top pairs nicely with the existing cabinets, which provided a clean, updated feel without the cost of new cabinets. The tile back splash added a whole new dimension to the kitchen.
