In most instances, our clients want to remove the soffits. This case was no different, but prior to demolition we like to drill investigative holes into the soffits to see exactly what they contained. Good thing we did, because the homes main electrical trunk lines ran directly through the soffits, not to mention all of the plumbing for both second floor bathrooms. While rerouting the utilities remained an option, the cost proved to be prohibitive. We, of course, did not let that get in the way of creating a beautiful kitchen for our client.
