Small Kitchen Remodel | Cabinets and Backsplash
This was a small kitchen that needed some love. A kitchen remodel doesn’t have to be a large, tedious process. This kitchen had remained unchanged since the early 1900’s, and the homeowner wanted to have an updated feel while still sticking with the natural rustic beauty of the home. Simple earth-tone colors were utilized, which resulted in a modern look that still meshed with the age of the home. The wine rack was a nice touch over the stove! These pictures show that you don’t have to splurge big money to have a successful kitchen remodel . Sometimes keeping it simple creates amazing results.
Tub to shower transformation
A tub to shower transformation changes the look of a bathroom. Some changes, however, are more dramatic. Not many of these built in tub enclosures are still out there, but what an eyesore! Not only was the tub enclosure removed, but the soffit overhead was deleted to make more room. This client wanted to add accents to this shower, so the rows of mosaic tile were incorporated into the surround. Not all tiled enclosures need a tiled pan. While a tiled pan is nice, it definitely adds cost to the project. A clean, streamlined fiberglass shower pan was installed for this project and looks fantastic! The jetted shower faucet tower looks amazing and provides relaxing relief after a long day. Clear shower doors allow the beauty of the tile to be clearly visible. After the project was complete, this looked like a totally different bathroom!
Kitchen remodel – ADA compliance
A kitchen remodel sometimes needs to fit a certain purpose. This project took place at the offices of Fair Housing in downtown Toledo. The main purpose of this project was to show that an ADA compliant kitchen can still look fabulous!! For the most part, this looks like an ordinary kitchen, but look a little closer!
To conform with guidelines, a 6″ toe kick was required. Furthermore, the sink needed to be lowered and made accessible from the front. Notice the dishwasher being mounted in the middle of the cabinets instead of the traditional location on the floor. A built in microwave provides ease of use at this position. Amazingly, all of these little changes were incorporated while still producing a stunning kitchen. The lighting over the island is superb, and the newly added can lights light up the room. The old floor comprised of many layers, all of which were stripped off to make room for the new vinyl plank flooring. Hard to imagine that this was a lowly break room at one point!

Country Kitchen
Not everyone wants a cutting edge, modern looking kitchen. This client wanted a country kitchen style, so that is exactly what we gave her! The green and earth toned fixtures and cabinets blended beautifully. The natural stone splash gives a warm feeling to the room. While they didn’t want a modern styled kitchen, we were able to integrate updates such as in-cabinet lighting to provide accents. These pictures show the room while we were finishing drywall, all the way up to finished install. What a difference!!! The cabinets, paired with the chosen flooring, made this kitchen stand out as one of our favorites.

Kitchen transformation in progress!! Anyone that has undertaken a kitchen renovation project knows this stage all too well. These pictures show not only the awesome potential that this kitchen has, but also the steps still needed to bring it all to fruition. Observe how the castled look of the cabinets really makes them jump off the wall. The simple yet elegant subway tile splash pulls it all together!
One thing we would like to point out is that while the project is far from finished, it doesn’t look like a disaster zone. Here at A+ Home Improvements, we take pride in leaving a clean job site when we leave at the end of the day. Many of our clients have children and busy lives, and the last thing they want to deal with at the end of a long day is whether or not little Johnny is going to put construction debris in his mouth. AFTER Remodeling
Kitchen Before and After
Kitchen update needed because of the dated look. New cabinets and counter top installation, along with back splash and appliances, resulting in a fabulous space!! The old cabinets were so dark and the lighting was awful. The wall color stayed the same, but you can still see such a difference. Simple, yet elegant white cabinets installed along with a gray tile splash to really set the space off. Custom Tile Shower
What a wreck! As you see from the pictures, the existing space left much to be desired. A custom tile shower jumps off the wall of any bathroom. Modern Kitchen Remodel
As contractors, we never know what we are walking into when an individual inquires about a kitchen remodel. This kitchen needed some serious love! Out with the old and in with the modern!! This client wanted to add a splash of their personality to this project, and accomplished it with the beautiful stacked upper cabinets with frosted glass. Cabinet storage galore! The vented hook looks amazing, and the stainless steel back splash pulls are the facets of this kitchen together. The island with stool seating provides a great spot to tackle your paperwork or simply sip on a hot cup of coffee. The tall crown moulding add character to the space as well. The designer we used did an outstanding job, and utilized every last inch of space to pull this off. This client was thrilled with the results, and we were excited to turn their dream into a reality!!
