It is that time of year again- time to spruce up the exterior of your home! Spring projects set the tone for a fantastic summer. Many of us have dreams of an outside space for lounging and entertaining. Unfortunately, we often dread the work that goes into creating these spaces. A+ Home improvements wants to help you get these projects out of the way. Our client wanted to to tackle some concrete projects around their home, and we were honored to be chosen to lend a hand. They desired to have a stamped, stained patio poured to provide a space to hang out, but that wasn’t the only need. First came the stamped patio.
The patio turned out perfectly – now we had to turn our attention to the problem area. The grading around the home caused water issues, and we couldn’t grade it properly due to the proximity of the house to the street. With that obstacle in mind, we worked together to come up with an alternative plan. To circumvent the drainage issue, we poured an integrated taller curb with the front pad. We then installed a drainage tile along the back of the curb to divert the water away from the area. The last step was pouring a sidewalk to connect the two concrete pads. Our client loved the results! We helped solve the water area while also providing a beautiful patio to hang out on.
