Our next client told us they needed huge kitchen transformation. After visiting with them, we fully understood the vast change needed to deliver what they desired. We went over a number of design layouts, and they settled on the perfect one! Take a look at what we started with:
The dark wall paper and massive stone work needed to go. The cooking area provided another area of concern as well. Notice the small spot where the range is? This ceiling could not be raised due to a stairwell above it. To help open up the space and create a better flow, we turned this area into a walk in pantry. We moved around the appliances and created a perfect kitchen to cook for a gathering. The new kitchen concept provided a much brighter feeling and a undoubtedly better flow. Take a look:
Presto! The client chose a color scheme that paired all the finishes perfectly. The new concept worked perfectly, and they chomping at the bit to put it to use.
A NEW SHOWER AS WELL?
During the course of the renovation, they decided to renovate a tiled shower as well. The shower enclosure contained a vaulted portion of the wall that we needed to contend with. The homeowner decided to install a fairly neutral tile surround with new fixtures. Take a look at the before and after pictures below:

As you can see, the surround contains some unique characteristics. While it was a simple update, it definitely provided a world of difference.
