While we move walls and adjust room sizes to accommodate certain layouts for clients, sometimes it is not feasible. Sometimes maximizing your kitchen space that currently exists provides the best option. Our client didn’t have an extremely large area to work with, but wanted to have an island and ample counter space. The final design that they settle on met the needs that they had. Sure, sometimes compromises must be made, but that doesn’t have to halt your perfect kitchen ideas.
This space is fairly common in homes, but this shows that maximizing your kitchen space can be done. The raised island provides extra seating, as well as additional counter space to utilize. The light that the customer chose is perfect and fits well with the design. To cap off the project, we installed a tile back splash that helped pull all of the colors in the kitchen together. The kitchen ended up being exactly what our client was shooting for. Many options exist, and are limited only by your creative imagination.
