Get ready for a total kitchen transformation!! Our next project entailed tackling a large first floor renovation. The homeowner, like many, had some questions and anxiety due to this being the first major project they had tackled. A+ Home Improvements strives to provide optimism and relief in these situations. The existing kitchen space didn’t work for their everyday life, so we went to the drawing board to present a layout that would work perfectly. Instead of a peninsula, we installed an island that provided a neat little seating area. We also moved the fridge location to provide the space needed for the new island. Let’s take a look at what we started with:

While large enough to work in, the existing kitchen lacked lighting and continuity. The flooring definitely needed to be updated as well! To provide flow, we actually installed luxury vinyl plank throughout the majority of the whole first floor. To add their own touch to the project, our client opted to install contrasting cabinets for the island. There was a small unused desk area tucked away by itself, and we turned this into a big built in wall oven. Look at the new fridge location – what a difference! Upon completion, it didn’t even look like the same kitchen. Take a look:

The new layout created a huge difference. The home owner changed the whole outlook of the home with their design selections. Additional features included the cook top and sleek ceiling mounted range hood. This renovation shows the myriad of ways that a home owner can put their own spin on their kitchen.
