Welcome back to another A+ Home Improvements’ project! We have been tackling exterior projects over the last few weeks, but our next endeavor took us back indoors. Our client built their own home years ago, and decided it was time for some updates. We installed new flooring in three bathrooms, but the main update was the shower enclosure. The existing space had a jetted soaking tub that definitely showed its age. The home owner tasked us with a tub to tile shower conversion. We worked through the material selection process and began to ramp up for the renovation. Let’s see what we started with:
Many older homes contain this style of tub setup. We rip out dozens of these setups annually, with clients opting to install a shower enclosure instead. In this instance, we installed a tiled bench to provide adequate seating in the new enclosure. Our client selected a gorgeous gray and white tile for the surround, with a splash of accent at the rear of the niches. To provide easier cleanability, we installed a white acrylic shower pan that paired perfectly with the tiled surround. Installing a shower door with transitional glass served as the final touch for the new tiled shower. The new space was ready to rock and roll!
What a difference!! Last, but not least, we installed a waterproof vinyl plank flooring to pull all parts of the renovation together. Do you need a tub to tile shower conversion? Give us a call to get your project started today!
