A basement renovation makes a huge difference. Don’t get me wrong, many people like to have an open basement for storage, working out, etc. Many clients, however, want a finished place to entertain and hang with the family. This basement was just 4 walls when we started – what a change!! Unfortunately, the lighting hadn’t been completed when these pictures where taken, but you can see the general layout. This client wanted a couple of rooms to comprise the restroom. They also wanted the sump pump room quarantined off from the general area. A painted ceiling or drop ceiling didn’t appeal to them, but they wanted to deaden the noise. This client opted to just have faced insulation placed in the joist cavities to achieve there goals, which also offered a way to save compared to traditional drop ceiling charges.
