After being cooped up indoors during the winter months, our clients are chomping at the bit to get outside and enjoy their space. A beautiful deck presents the perfect opportunity to upgrade your back yard. Keep in mind that you don’t always have to replace your entire deck. There are instances where the framing is perfectly fine, but the flat surfaces are starting to show their age. It could be simply from weathering, or from an inferior product being used to finish it.
Our client’s deck was structurally sound, but the deck boards were starting to splinter. To make things easier, they desired to have the same exact layout, including the way the benches were installed. To start, we removed a couple of boards to ensure the integrity of the structure. Once we confirmed all was good, we went to work providing this deck with a facelift.
