There are times when your existing bathroom leaves you no choice but to perform a complete bathroom remodel. Look at the pictures above. Look familiar? The dated wall paper brings down the mood of the whole room, and the carpet brings about thoughts of uncleanliness. The jetted tub with the old brass fixtures had to go, along with the integrated shower enclosure that just screamed “dull”. The layout of the bathroom itself work quite nicely when we started pulling together ideas. Our client didn’t really know which direction to take, so we stepped in to help design their new master bathroom.
Making the change!!
Wow!! What a difference! Just removing the wall paper and paint the walls with a warm, inviting color drastically changed the mood of the room. Removing the carpet definitely cleaned up the space! The new vinyl plank flooring provided a fantastic look for this bathroom. Our biggest challenge related to creating an open feeling in the room, and deleting the drop in roman tub did the trick. The free-standing tub became the focal point of our layout, and it turned out beautifully! Separating the shower from the tub location was also key, and the new alcove shower unit fabricated with swanstone products created a gorgeous custom shower. The barn style door added a touch of class to the shower as well. The powder station remained one feature that our client wanted to keep, so we integrated it back in with the two vanities to provide a seamless, clean look.
