Hey everybody, welcome back to another A+ Home Improvements’ project! We love all of our renovations, but some stand out a little more than others. Our next client’s master bathroom offered a large space, but it was not conducive to our client’s lifestyle. A large, unused corner tub separated two individual vanities, creating an unorganized space. The bathroom also contained a dated shower enclosure and worn tile flooring. Our client desired a true master bathroom suite. A big must for our client entailed incorporating a laundry area into the space without creating an eyesore. To accomplish this, we deleted the existing shower enclosure and framed for a laundry room that could be closed off to the rest of the bathroom. Definitely a better use of the space! Now that we transformed that area of the bathroom, we turned out attention to creating the rest of the master bathroom suite. We deleted the corner tub and vanities, removed the flooring and set up for the new layout. Our client had no interest in a tub, so we instead focused on creating a large, luxurious tiled shower enclosure. Let’s take a look at the old space:
Master bathroom suite!
All kinds of wasted space! To accomplish our goal of a large shower, we deleted the two windows and pieced in the siding. We framed out the exterior wall to accommodate our new shower plumbing while simultaneously giving us room for additional insulation. The new shower contained a ceiling mounted rain shower along with a handheld shower head for versatility. We incorporated a tiled bench, and installed a glass panel that allowed for simple walk-in access for the home owner. The results were stunning!!
It doesn’t even look like the same bathroom! No we turned our attention to the rest of the master bathroom suite. We installed new led lighting and fixtures centered around a beautiful new double vanity. To pull the look together while adding contrast, we installed a dark gray hexagon tile floor. This project was an absolute blast to complete for our client!
