Hey everybody! A+ Home Improvements is tackling another project. Our next client didn’t desire a whole bathroom renovation – they simply needed a quick shower update. The old tub enclosure showed signs of deterioration, so we needed to install a clean, new shower. You will notice the tile wainscot in the pictures below, which is common in many older homes. There are products on the market that claim to be installed over exiting tile, and while that can pose a viable option, we choose to not put a band-aid over bigger problems. We extracted the old tile surround up to the wainscot, then went to work installing new moisture resistant products in it’s place. Our client opted for a clean, white enclosure with shower doors to add a nice finishing touch.
Our client wanted to keep the window, which allowed natural light to permeate throughout the space. To help prevent future moisture and rot issues, we installed composite trim around the interior of the window to finish off the enclosure. Once we completed the project, we cleaned up the job site and left so our client could enjoy their new shower.
