A+ Home Improvements continues to tackle projects for our clients, and this next one proved to be a blast! This homeowner inherited a home that housed a lot of memories. In an effort to make the place feel more like their own space, they wanted to update a couple of bathrooms along with the kitchen space. To do the project justice, we are going to reveal the changes for the full and half bath updates this week, with the kitchen to follow next week. The half bath project proved to be pretty straight-forward. We removed all of the existing fixtures, re-routed the lighting and provided a fresh new look. Take a look at the before and after photos:
While not a huge space, the change was drastic! This just proves that small renovations often make a huge difference. Now that the smaller bathroom was out of the way, we turned our attention to the 2nd floor bathroom. This one definitely needed some love. Take a look at what we started with:
Our client’s biggest desire for this space centered around the need for a shower. While the old claw foot tub served its purpose, it definitely didn’t work for this home owner. With the vaulted ceiling, the existing tub space lacked the needed clearance. To solve the problem, we deleted the window and moved the shower to the existing vanity location. In turn, we moved the vanity to the old tub location and it provided the perfect solution. Take a look:

A little creativity goes a long way when manipulating a room in your home. The new shower location proved to be the perfect spot! We installed a vanity with an off-set bowl to best utilize the space where the old tub was removed, which provided a space for the mirror and sconce lights as well. For the tub, our client elected to go with a Flexstone surround, providing an easy to clean surface for years of dependable use. What bathroom project do you want to tackle?
